Maintaining your hair curls

A curly weave is one of the most beautiful hair type to wear anytime, any day. However, it is a kind of hair type that requires strict attention in order to keep it beautiful and long lasting. It can easily tangle if not properly taken care of no matter the amount you purchased the weave.

For you to keep your weave in perfect condition and maintain excellent curl, check the tips below.

1. NO TO BRUSH AND COMB

The use of brush or comb on your curly hair can cause it to tangle and/or tamper with the original curl quality from factory. Adopt the use of finger to detangle the hair gently. To untangle the hair, segment your hair into three sections or four sections and then braid or clip other parts while you concentrate on one section at a time.

Start from the tip/base to the top of the hair. You can also get a detangling spray to help.

2. COVER HAIR BEFORE GOING TO BED

Adopt the use of satin scarf or cap before going to bed at anytime. The use of the satin cap or scarf has been proven to help in maintaining healthy and moisture hair both natural hair and hair weave type. It prevents the hair from damage by sleep pattern(s). It help keep the curls shape and style without causing kinks and bumps. It also keeps hair from getting frizzy and puffy. The use of satin pillow case will also be of good advantage to maintaining your curls.

3. SAY NO TO HEATING TOOLS

Avoid the use of heat application on your hair weave in order to maintain its strength and keep it tangle-free. After washing your weave, you can adopt other methods of keeping hair curls which includes: Big braid, socks bun curls, use cool blow dryer instead. Use select rollers to completely roll each section of hair, starting from the tip of each section and roll to the roots of the hair. Then, use respective clip, clamp or cover to secure each roller.

4. REVIVE CURLS

Reviving your curls can be done at least three or four times in a week if it can't be done daily. Purchase a good leave-in-conditioner from any nearby store, put preferred portion into a spray bottle and mix it with water; and then spray it all over your hair. It helps soften the hair, and increase the curl preservations.

Ensure that you apply these solutions on your curly weave because they also provide healthy, fabulous, glossy look. As with all things too much of anything is never a good thing so be sure to not use products excessively.
